Job summary

Nala Recruitment are seeking a Nursery Practitioner for a welcoming and supportive nursery in Chelmsford. The role offers a permanent contract, full-time hours (40 per week), and a competitive hourly rate.

You will provide a safe and stimulating environment, support children’s development with age-appropriate activities, and work closely with colleagues, parents and the wider team to ensure high standards of care. Immediate start (ASAP) is available.

Qualifications

• Early Years qualification Level 2 or 3 is desirable/required depending on role.
• Previous nursery/EYFS experience would be beneficial.

Nursery Practitioner

Location: Chelmsford

Salary: £13.70 per hour - £14.21 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours a week

Contract: Permanent

Nala Recruitment are currently working with a welcoming and supportive nursery setting who are looking for a Nursery Practitioner to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring and motivated Early Years professional who is passionate about supporting young children and helping them develop, learn and thrive in a safe and stimulating environment.

The Role

• Providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children
• Supporting children’s learning and development through age-appropriate activities
• Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
• Supporting the planning and delivery of engaging activities based around children’s interests and development
• Observing and recording children’s progress and contributing to their individual learning journeys
• Ensuring children’s health, safety and wellbeing are maintained at all times
• Supporting children with their personal care needs where required
• Working effectively as part of a wider nursery team
• Following the nursery’s policies, procedures and safeguarding requirements

A relevant Early Years qualification such as Level 2 or Level 3 in Early Years Education and Childcare is desirable/required depending on the role.

Previous experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting would be beneficial.
