Job summary

Staff Match is recruiting on behalf of a well established nursery group in Westminster, London for a Nursery Manager to set up a new nursery. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years management experience and a genuine passion for early years.

The role covers day-to-day operations, staff leadership, parent liaison, occupancy marketing, and compliance with EYFS and Ofsted standards. DBS checks are required, with training and career opportunities on offer.

Qualifications

• 2+ years management experience in a children-focused setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day nursery operations.
• Ensure staff compliance with policy and procedures.
• Engage with parents and arrange events/ sessions.
• Market and manage nursery occupancy.
• Oversee invoicing, fees, HR, and finance functions.
• Embed EYFS curriculum in daily practice.
• Prepare for Ofsted inspections.
• Manage recruitment, supervisions and appraisals.

Based in Westminster, London Staff Match are recruiting on behalf of a well established nursery group and have an exciting role for a Nursery Manager to set up a new nursery. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 2 years management experience and have a real passion for early years.

Person Specification:

• Experience of leading and motivating teams
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)
• Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)
• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role

Some of the responsibilities of Nursery Manager will include:

• Lead responsibility for day to day nursery operations
• Ensuring staff comply with policy and procedures
• Partnership working with parents, building positive relationships, arranging events, drop in sessions
• Marketing and managing occupancy
• Invoicing, fee calculation, Back office, material ordering, HR, Finance
• Ensuring EYFS curriculum is effectively embedded in practice
• Preparing for Ofsted inspections
• Managing recruitment, supervisions and appraisals
