Job summary

Staff Match, based in Westminster, London, is recruiting for a Nursery Manager to set up a new nursery and lead a team to deliver high standards of early years care.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent relationship-building with parents, and experience in nursery operations, staffing, and regulatory compliance. DBS checks are required due to safeguarding standards and the establishment of a new setting.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and motivating teams.
• Desirable Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Desirable Paediatric First Aid.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day nursery operations.
• Ensure staff comply with policy and procedures.
• Partnership working with parents, building relationships, arranging events, drop-in sessions.
• Marketing and managing occupancy.
• Invoicing, fee calculation, back office, material ordering, HR, Finance.
• Ensure EYFS curriculum is embedded in practice.
• Prepare for Ofsted inspections.
• Manage recruitment, supervisions and appraisals.
