Midlothian Council is seeking a Learning Assistant ASN for Stobhill Primary School Nursery. The role is permanent with 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 08:30-15:00 (30 mins lunch) and Friday 08:30-12:00, across 39 weeks per year.

The salary starts at £19,229.64 per annum, with progression on the council salary scale. PVG scheme requirements apply, and SSSC registration is essential within six months.

Competenze

• Basic literacy and numeracy to support pupils and staff.
• Familiarity with child development and ability to respond to individual needs.
• Experience in this field of work is preferred.
• Willingness to undertake additional training courses (e.g., first aid, calm techniques).
• If in a nursery environment, registration with or membership of the SSSC within 6 months of appointment.
