Job summary

JEM Childcare Solutions is assisting a busy nursery in Leicester LE2 to find an experienced Nursery Deputy Manager. You will work with the Manager to support day-to-day operations in a nurturing setting.

This 40-hour-per-week role offers a salary around £36k, with great benefits and opportunities to grow with a growing provider.

Qualifications

• A minimum Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification (full and relevant).
• A minimum 3 years' experience leading or supporting a team in a nursery or early years setting.
• Has experience in a management role, supporting the nursery in the absence of the Manager.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted requirements, and safeguarding practices.
• Support and supervise staff while delivering high-quality care and education across the nursery setting.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures within the setting.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff in the nursery setting.

Responsibilities

• Support and supervise staff to deliver high-quality care and education.
• Assist in day-to-day nursery operations and compliance with procedures.
• Support the Manager in covering leadership duties in their absence.
• Contribute to staff development, mentoring, and performance feedback.
• Promote a safe, nurturing, stimulating learning environment for children.
