Job summary

JEM Childcare Solutions in Watford is seeking a Nursery Deputy Manager to work with the manager in the day-to-day running of this very busy and large setting. The role offers a salary up to £37k depending on experience and qualifications, with onsite parking and good transport links.

The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification and proven leadership experience in a nursery setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification.
• At least 3 years’ experience leading or supporting a team in nursery/early years.
• Experience in a management role supporting the nursery in the absence of the Manager.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted requirements and safeguarding practices.
• Ability to supervise staff and deliver high-quality care and education.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and staff.

Essential for the Nursery Deputy Manager Role

• A minimum Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification (full and relevant)
• A minimum 3 years’ experience leading or supporting a team in a nursery or early years setting
• Has experience of being in a management role, supporting the nursery in the absence of the Manager
• Strong knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted requirements, and safeguarding practices
• Support and supervise staff while delivering high-quality care and education across the nursery setting
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures within the setting
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff in the nursery setting
