Job summary

JEM Childcare Solutions Limited is recruiting a Nursery Deputy Manager for a well-established day nursery in Abingdon, near Culham. You will work alongside the Nursery Manager to support day-to-day operations, lead staff, and ensure high-quality care and education in accordance with EYFS and safeguarding policies.

The role is supernumerary with a salary up to £38k for a 40-hour week; benefits include a pension, employee childcare discounts, and flexible working options.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification (full and relevant).
• Experience leading or supporting a team in a nursery or early years setting (3+ years).
• Management experience supporting the nursery in the absence of the Manager.

• Support the Nursery Manager in day-to-day running of the setting.
• Supervise staff to deliver high-quality care and education.

Ourclient, a well-established, large and welcoming day nursery in Abingdon, is seekingan experienced and passionate Nursery Deputy Manager to join theirleadership team, working alongside the manager in the day to day running of the setting. Requirements

Essential for the Nursery Deputy Manager Role

• A minimum Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification (full and relevant)
• A minimum 3 years’ experience leading or supporting a team in anursery or early years setting
• Has experience of being in a management role, supporting thenursery in the absence of the Manager
• Strong knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted requirements, and safeguarding practices
• Support and supervise staff while delivering high-quality care andeducation across the nursery setting
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures within the setting
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff inthe nursery setting
