Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a well-established private day nursery in Macclesfield, caring for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. A permanent Nursery Assistant role is available, full-time (40 hours/week) from November 2026, with opportunities for progression.

You will join a close-knit team in a welcoming environment, supporting children in daily learning, play and care routines and contributing to their development and readiness for the next education steps.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months’ experience in a UK nursery.
• Full-time: 40 hours per week.
• Reliable, consistent and proactive approach.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Driver preferred due to location, but not essential.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a well-established private day nursery in Macclesfield, providing a welcoming and stimulating environment for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years, with dedicated learning spaces and extensive outdoor play opportunities. The nursery has an experienced team and focuses on nurturing children’s confidence, curiosity and readiness for their next steps in education.

The nursery is looking to take on a Nursery Assistant on a permanent, full-time basis, working 40 hours per week from November 2026. The successful Nursery Assistant will support children throughout their daily learning, play and care routines, with the nursery particularly looking for someone consistent, proactive and able to gel well with the existing team.

The successful Nursery Assistant will have:

• A minimum of 3 months’ experience working in a UK nursery
• Availability to work 40 hours per week on a full-time basis
• A reliable, consistent and proactive approach
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Being a driver is preferred due to the location of the nursery, but this is not essential and all suitable candidates are encouraged to apply
