Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Level 2 or Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioner for a permanent, full-time role in Macclesfield. The post requires a minimum of 3 months’ UK nursery experience and EYFS knowledge.

You will support children aged 6 weeks to 5 years, 40 hours per week, starting November 2026, working with an established team in a welcoming setting. The successful candidate will be proactive, reliable and able to communicate well with colleagues and parents.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare.
• Minimum of 3 months’ experience in a UK nursery.
• Knowledge of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage).
• Reliable, consistent and proactive approach to childcare.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Driver preferred but not essential; all suitable candidates are encouraged to apply.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a well-established private day nursery in Macclesfield, providing a welcoming and stimulating environment for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years, with dedicated learning spaces and extensive outdoor play opportunities. The nursery is focused on providing a nurturing environment where children can build their confidence, curiosity and independence.

The nursery is looking to take on a qualified Nursery Practitioner on a permanent, full-time basis, working 40 hours per week from November 2026. The successful Nursery Practitioner will support children throughout their daily learning, play and care routines, with the setting particularly looking for someone consistent, proactive and able to work positively alongside the existing team.

The successful Nursery Practitioner will have:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare
• A minimum of 3 months’ experience working within a UK nursery
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage / EYFS
• A reliable, consistent and proactive approach to childcare
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Being a driver is preferred due to the location of the nursery, but this is not essential and all suitable candidates are encouraged to apply
