Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Nursery Nurse for a Gravesend nursery. The role involves supporting children’s daily routines and learning through play, helping maintain a safe and engaging environment, and working with the nursery team on a short-term basis with immediate start.

Desirable Level 2/3 childcare qualification, EYFS knowledge, and safeguarding awareness are valued. Pay rates are competitive and tailored to experience.

Qualifications

• Desirable Level 2/3 childcare qualification (not essential).
• Experience in nursery, early years or similar setting.
• Good understanding of safeguarding and child development.
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework is desirable.

Job Title: Nursery Nurse

Salary: £13 - £14 per hour

Do you have previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting, with or without a formal childcare qualification?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a nursery in Gravesend that forms part of an established nursery chain. The setting provides a welcoming environment where children are encouraged to learn, explore and develop through engaging, age-appropriate activities.

The nursery is looking to take on a Nursery Nurse on a short-term temporary basis, with an immediate start available. The successful Nursery Nurse will work alongside the nursery team to support children's daily routines, encourage learning through play and maintain a safe and stimulating environment, with relevant childcare experience valued over formal qualifications.

The successful Nursery Nurse will have:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification is desirable but not essential
• Previous experience working within a nursery, early years or similar childcare setting
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework is desirable
• A good understanding of safeguarding and child development
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A positive, enthusiastic and adaptable approach
