Job summary

TeacherActive is partnering with a nursery in Sevenoaks to recruit a Nursery Nurse for a short-term temporary position with an immediate start. The role involves supporting children’s daily routines, encouraging learning through play, and maintaining a safe, engaging environment. Relevant childcare experience is valued over formal qualifications.

The successful candidate will join a welcoming team, with access to CPD and a referral scheme. PAYE payroll ensures correct tax and NI deductions.

Qualifications

• A Level 2/3 childcare qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Previous nursery/early years experience in childcare setting.
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework desirable.
• Good safeguarding and child development understanding.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive, enthusiastic and adaptable approach.

Are you an enthusiastic Nursery Nurse who is passionate about supporting children's early learning and development?

Do you have previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting, with or without a formal childcare qualification?

Are you reliable, adaptable and committed to creating a safe and engaging environment for young children?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a nursery in Sevenoaks that forms part of an established nursery chain. The setting provides a welcoming environment where children are encouraged to learn, explore and develop through engaging, age-appropriate activities.

The nursery is looking to take on a Nursery Nurse on a short-term temporary basis, with an immediate start available. The successful Nursery Nurse will work alongside the nursery team to support children's daily routines, encourage learning through play and maintain a safe and stimulating environment, with relevant childcare experience valued over formal qualifications.

The successful Nursery Nurse will have:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification is desirable but not essential
• Previous experience working within a nursery, early years or similar childcare setting
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework is desirable
• A good understanding of safeguarding and child development
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A positive, enthusiastic and adaptable approach
