Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Nursery Nurse for a Rochester nursery on a short-term temporary basis with immediate start. You will support daily routines, promote learning through play and help maintain a safe environment. Experience in nursery/childcare is valued, with Level 2/3 childcare qualification desirable but not essential.

The role offers market leading pay rates and a supportive onboarding process, with CPD opportunities and a referral scheme. DBS/compliance may be required.

Job Title: Nursery Nurse. Location: Rochester. Start Date: ASAP. Salary: £13 - £14 per hour.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a nursery in Rochester that forms part of an established nursery chain. The setting provides a welcoming environment where children are encouraged to learn, explore and develop through engaging, age-appropriate activities.

The nursery is looking to take on a Nursery Nurse on a short-term temporary basis, with an immediate start available. The successful Nursery Nurse will work alongside the nursery team to support children's daily routines, encourage learning through play and maintain a safe and stimulating environment, with relevant childcare experience valued over formal qualifications.

The successful Nursery Nurse will have:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification is desirable but not essential
• Previous experience working within a nursery, early years or similar childcare setting
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework is desirable
• A good understanding of safeguarding and child development
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A positive, enthusiastic and adaptable approach
