Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a nursery in Rochester to recruit a Nursery Nurse on a short-term temporary basis with an immediate start. The role focuses on supporting daily routines, encouraging learning through play, and creating a safe, engaging environment for young children.

Experience in nursery or early years is valued and a Level 2/3 childcare qualification is desirable but not essential. You will join a supportive team and benefit from market-leading pay and ongoing CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

• A Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Previous experience working within a nursery, early years or similar childcare setting.
• Knowledge of EYFS framework is desirable.
• A good understanding of safeguarding and child development.

Job description

Are you an enthusiastic Nursery Nurse who is passionate about supporting children's early learning and development?

Do you have previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting, with or without a formal childcare qualification?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a nursery in Rochester that forms part of an established nursery chain. The setting provides a welcoming environment where children are encouraged to learn, explore and develop through engaging, age-appropriate activities.

The nursery is looking to take on a Nursery Nurse on a short-term temporary basis, with an immediate start available. The successful Nursery Nurse will work alongside the nursery team to support children's daily routines, encourage learning through play and maintain a safe and stimulating environment, with relevant childcare experience valued over formal qualifications.

The successful Nursery Nurse will have:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification is desirable but not essential
• Previous experience working within a nursery, early years or similar childcare setting
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework is desirable
• A good understanding of safeguarding and child development
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A positive, enthusiastic and adaptable approach
