Job summary

WMC Training in Harlow is seeking a Nursery apprentice to join a dedicated team. You will support early years learners aged 0–5, assist with daily routines, and contribute to meeting the EYFS standards while working toward a childcare qualification.

As part of a collaborative team, you will engage in planning enriching activities, observe progress, and maintain safeguarding and health and safety practices. This role is in-person at our setting in Harlow.

Qualifications

• Must have prior nursery experience.
• Willing to learn a childcare qualification.
• Ability to write clear objective observations.
• Commitment to complete a childcare qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support educators/practitioners to deliver the setting's curriculum and standards.
• Work toward an early years qualification with support from staff and training provider.
• Observe, assess and record children's learning and development progress.
• Plan and provide age-appropriate play opportunities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage.

WMC Training is seeking a dedicated Nursery apprentice to join the professional, rewarding, and supportive team in Harlow(CM20).

The ideal candidate will bring previous experience working with children ,a genuine interest in developing the talent of younger generations, and a strong desire to make a difference in children's lives.

MUST have experience working at the nursery setting before . You will be a collaborative team member, equally capable of taking initiative, and adept at planning enriching activities.

DUTIES

• To support fellow educators/practitioners to deliver the setting's curriculum and standard of practice.
• 2. To work towards an early years qualification with support from the setting's staff and training provider.
• 3. To seek support from members of the team to assist your learning.
• 4. To work closely with children aged 0-5 years old, looking after their daily needs such as feeding, nappy changing and toileting.
• 5. To work as part of a team to deliver and meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage for all children.
• 6. To plan, provide and support age-appropriate play opportunities in line with the curriculum and individual needs of the children in your care.
• 7. To ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all children in your care.
• 8. To observe, assess and record children's learning and development progress.
• 9. Provide an enabling environment that meets the needs of each unique individual child.
• 10. To build and maintain positive relationships with parents/carers.
• 11. To adhere to and follow the setting's policies and procedures.
• 12. To attend regular team meetings.
• 13. To ensure standards of health and safety, hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times.
• 14. To attend additional training events and meetings as identified by the Setting Manager for training requirements.
• 15. To liaise and work in partnership with external agencies (both statutory and voluntary) to support children within the setting as appropriate.
• 16. To undertake any other duties as deemed necessary by the Setting Manager
