Job summary

Morson Edge is assisting with the recruitment of a Systems Requirements Engineer for UK nuclear projects. The role focuses on capturing, developing and maintaining system requirements using IBM DOORS, ensuring traceability across the lifecycle and supporting verification and validation activities.

The candidate will attend design reviews and work with SMEs and project teams to ensure requirements align with project objectives, with a mix of on-site Derby presence and home-based work.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified or possessing suitable level of other relevant experience.
• Strong systems engineering background.
• Proven skills in developing and writing requirements.
• Knowledge of engineering lifecycle.
• Understanding Requirements engineering and link to V&V.
• Experienced DOORS user.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain System Requirements within IBM DOORS.
• Attend and contribute to engineering and design reviews.
• Work with SMEs to capture and refine system requirements.
• Maintain requirements traceability.
• Support Verification & Validation activities.
• Raise / Provide Technical Queries to support development of requirements.
• Provide progress updates to managers and leads.
• Identify and escape technical issues and risks.
• Deliver assigned requirements packages to project timescales.
