Job summary

Russell Taylor Group is seeking a Requirements Engineer in Aldermaston for a hybrid role on major nuclear projects. You will capture, analyse and develop technical requirements, and translate stakeholder needs into clear specifications.

The role requires an engineering degree, experience in regulated environments, DOORS experience preferred, and SC clearance minimum with DV eligible. 1-2 days on site, contract through June 2027, up to £55 per hour outside IR35.

Qualifications

Requirements Engineer

Contract: Until June 2027

Location: Aldermaston, Berkshire

Hybrid - 1-2 days a week on site

Rate: Up to £55ph, Outside IR35

SC minimum

Are you a Mechanical, Electrical, EC&I or Systems Engineer with requirements capture experience?

Have you worked on complex engineering projects in a regulated or safety‑critical environment?

Do you have experience with systems engineering methods or requirements management tools?

What will you be doing?

You'll be working on major nuclear engineering programmes, supporting project teams with requirements capture and systems engineering. We're open to Mechanical, Electrical, EC&I and Systems Engineers with relevant experience, not just career Requirements Engineers.
