Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior or Principal Systems Engineer with a strong background in Requirements Engineering and Systems Engineering delivery. You will apply systems engineering to live projects, guiding teams through complex interfaces and contributing to capability development within the Nuclear EMEA business.

Initially, you will support a Derby-based project, acting as a requirements-focused SME across multiple sub-systems, while later expanding to a diverse portfolio of Nuclear EMEA

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering systems engineering in complex, regulated environments such as nuclear, defence or aerospace.
• Proficient use of requirements management tools (ideally IBM DOORS Classic).
• Experience with MBSE tools such as MagicDraw/Cameo, Capella or Sparx EA.

Responsibilities

• Lead and apply Systems Engineering and Requirements Engineering across sub-systems within a project.
• Develop, review, and manage CRDs and derived subsystem requirements.
• Collaborate with Requirements Lead, engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure clear, traceable requirements.
• Apply systems engineering principles across interfaces, verification, validation, and stakeholder engagement to support delivery.
• Occasional on-site presence at Derby client office and related JV partner locations; support multiple Nuclear EMEA projects after initial assignment.
