Job summary

Russell Taylor Group is seeking a Requirements Engineer in Aldermaston for a hybrid role on major nuclear projects. You will capture, analyse and develop technical requirements, and translate stakeholder needs into clear specifications.

The role requires an engineering degree, experience in regulated environments, DOORS experience preferred, and SC clearance minimum with DV eligible. 1-2 days on site, contract through June 2027, up to £55 per hour outside IR35.

Qualifications

• Experience capturing, analysing or managing requirements in complex projects.
• Background in mechanical, electrical, EC&I or systems engineering.
• Experience in regulated or safety-critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Capture, analyse and develop technical requirements
• Work with Project Managers and Engineering Task Managers
• Translate stakeholder needs into clear technical requirements
• Support requirements verification and validation
• Assist with system architecture, interfaces and lifecycle planning
• Prepare technical reports and project documentation
