Job summary

JMC Legal Recruitment represents a City of London firm seeking an NQ Solicitor to join the Projects, Development & Construction team with a focus on non-contentious construction. You will work alongside experienced lawyers and receive strong mentorship.

This role offers exposure to drafting and negotiating contracts (JCT/NEC/FIDIC), due diligence on development matters, and progression within a supportive, collaborative environment as you build your foundation in construction law.

Qualifications

• Newly Qualified solicitor in England & Wales or due to qualify in September 2026.
• Training contract with exposure to Non-Contentious Construction.
• Strong academics and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate construction and project documentation.
• Support procurement and contracting strategies across projects.
• Advise on JCT, NEC and FIDIC contracts.
• Assist with due diligence on development and investment projects.
• Develop knowledge of construction contracts and commercial considerations.
