Job summary

MAP Legal Recruitment is seeking a Non-Contentious Construction Associate for a well-regarded London firm. The role focuses on non-contentious construction work and involves handling standard form contracts and large projects in a hybrid London setting.

The ideal candidate is NQ–2 PQE with experience in non-contentious construction, including JCT, NEC and EPC forms, and some exposure to commercial and/or housing development work. A strong team player within a busy practice is essential.

Qualifications

• Non-contentious construction knowledge and experience.
• Experience with standard form contracts (JCT, NEC, EPC).
• Experience in commercial and/or housing development work is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work within the Construction team on non-contentious matters.
• Assist on large-scale procurement, development and regeneration projects.
• Draft and negotiate construction contracts and related documentation.

ROLE: Non-Contentious Construction Associate

LEVEL: NQ - 2 PQE

LOCATION: London | Hybrid

MAP Legal are working with a well ranked and renowned firm in the Construction field.

The Projects, Development & Construction Team have established a strong reputation in a variety of sectors, particularly in real estate, housing & accommodation, property investment, commercial property, education, health, care, sustainability and renewables, and also work together with the technology and private wealth teams.

Their lawyers are recognised for their expertise in procurement, construction, development and large scale projects, including JVs, regeneration and advising on renewables projects.

In these areas, they are acknowledged for their depth of expertise and market leading sector insight.

The ideal candidate will be NQ-2 years qualified and have previous experience of working within a construction team.

The candidate will mainly have experience of non-contentious construction law, standard form construction contracts including JCT, NEC and EPC forms and some experience of commercial and/or housing development work.
