This post provides an excellent opportunity for a post-doctoral academic trainee training in haematology or respiratory medicine with outstanding potential to develop a successful academic career within a thriving and supportive environment. The lectureship programme will provide up to four years WTE post-doctoral training or until CCT is reached, to allow the successful applicant to consolidate their career, develop their skills and begin to establish themselves as an independent researcher and educator. The length of the lectureship will depend on the previous experience of the doctor in academic medicine and their planned trajectory toward a postdoctoral or clinician scientist award. The post is available either full time or part time.
The applicant will have completed core training or otherwise be eligible for higher specialist training in the relevant specialty in the UK at ST3 level or above. The post is for those who are advanced in their specialty training, have completed a research doctorate (MD/PhD) or equivalent in a relevant field and show outstanding potential for continuing a career in academic medicine.
Contract type: Annually Renewable for up to 4 years or until CCT, whichever occurs earlier
