Job summary

Sainsbury's in Cannock is seeking a dedicated nightshift manager to lead overnight replenishment and store operations, ensuring safety and high service levels.

You’ll manage a full shift solo at times, coach colleagues, monitor KPIs and schedule pay, and help maintain brilliant morning standards. This role offers a real path to career growth within a supportive, inclusive retailer with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Track record of delivering brilliant customer service and coaching colleagues to do the same.
• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment — motivated others and kept operations running smoothly.
• Operational leadership in absence of more senior managers.
• Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding KPIs (sales, availability, customer satisfaction).
• Experience managing employee relations issues including performance and absence management.

Responsibilities

• Leading a team overnight to deliver all replenishment activities across the store while prioritising deliveries and organising the warehouse.
• Often run a full store operation overnight, responsible for the full shift and safety of colleagues.
• Ensure standards are brilliant in the morning so we’re ready to serve customers.
• Manage performance and scheduling, conduct disciplinaries, ensure pay accuracy.
