Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Nightshift Manager to lead overnight replenishment and run store operations from 22:00 to 08:00. You’ll prioritise deliveries, organise the warehouse and replenish shelves to ready the store for opening.

You’ll manage a team, monitor KPI performance, and ensure safety and wellbeing of colleagues. Strong leadership and a hands‑on approach are essential to delivers great customer service and a smooth morning shift.

Qualifications

• Track record of delivering brilliant customer service and coaching colleagues.
• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Operational leadership responsibilities in the absence of more senior managers.
• Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding KPIs across sales, availability or customer satisfaction.
• Experience managing employee relations issues including performance and absence management.
• Desirable – night shifts experience in a high-volume environment with a safe, supportive atmosphere during out-of-hours trading.

Responsibilities

• Leading a team overnight to deliver all replenishment activities across the store whilst prioritising deliveries, organising the warehouse and replenishing shelves.
• Often running a full store operation overnight, being responsible for the full shift and the safety and wellbeing of colleagues in store.
• Ensuring standards are brilliant come morning so we’re ready to serve customers.
• People management including performance and capability, conducting disciplinaries and ensuring scheduling and pay accuracy.
