Job summary

Novotel Glasgow is seeking a Nightshift Reception Team Member to ensure seamless guest experiences from arrival through departure. You will handle check-in/out, assist across Food & Beverage outlets, and support Reservations in a fast-paced environment.

Fluency in English is essential, with prior hotel or hospitality experience preferred. The role offers a friendly, inclusive team culture within the Accor network and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

To help you navigate your role, and support your success you will be trained in all front of house related functions and the safety of the property and people.

Our hotel offers 141rooms, meeting rooms, gym, sauna, steam room and food & beverage facilities

To ensure you can best welcome and care for our guests you will need to be fluent in English.

Understanding things from our guest’s perspective is key, so while you are settling into your new role we will arrange a one-night stay for you to experience this first hand.

Job Description

Job Title: Nightshift Reception Team Member

Hourly Rate: £13.25 per hours

Hours: 169 hours per month (monthly rota)

Have the ability to multi-task and have a can-do attitude in this exciting fast-paced environment.

Flexible and always ready to assist at any stage of the guests’ stay, from check-in to check-out and everything in between.

This may include working in the Food and Beverage outlets including Breakfast, Bar, Night and supporting the Reservations and Back Office Teams when needed.

As a passionate individual, you will be dedicated to continuously improving the quality of the hotel's services.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

• Service-focused personality is essential
• Proven customer service experience in a hospitality or similar fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage guests professionally
• Proficiency with hotel management systems and general IT literacy
• Flexibility and adaptability to work across multiple departments (Front Office, Food and Beverage, Reservations)
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive can-do attitude
• Ability to remain calm and organised when managing multiple tasks simultaneously
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of service
• Team player mentality with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
• Fluency in English (as mentioned, this is essential for guest interaction)
• Professional appearance and demeanour befitting a hotel reception environment
• Previous experience in Hotels is preferred
