Job summary

Novotel Glasgow, part of the Accor network, is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support the kitchen team in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for washing dishes, deep cleaning, rubbish removal and helping chefs to deliver great food in a safe, hygienic space.

Hours are 30 hours per week with a split shift pattern and an hourly rate of £12.73. Training will be provided, and you’ll work within a friendly team focused on quality and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or cleaning experience is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good attention to cleanliness and hygiene.
• Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Washing dishes, pots, and kitchen equipment.
• Deep cleaning of floors and kitchen areas.
• Taking out rubbish.
• Putting away deliveries and supplies.
• Following hygiene and safety rules.
• Helping chefs and other kitchen staff when needed.

Our hotel offers 141rooms, meeting rooms, gym, sauna, steam room and food & beverage facilities

To ensure you can best welcome and care for our guests you will need to be fluent in English.

Understanding things from our guest’s perspective is key, so while you are settling into your new role we will arrange a one-night stay for you to experience this first hand.

• Split Shift: 5pm till 10:30pm (this includes working a morning shift)

This is a crucial role incorporating duties across the kitchen in line with the business demands
