Job summary

The Witherslack Group is hiring night support workers to be part of our Children's Homes, supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health needs. You’ll help them through the night, build trust, and contribute to positive outcomes.

You’ll join the Care Academy for 4 weeks of off-the-job training, with a base salary between £30,421 and £33,568. A range of benefits includes attendance support, holidays, progression and flexible benefits.

Qualifications

• A 'can do' attitude - a team player who rolls up their sleeves to help others.
• We genuinely care about our young people (and each other) with honesty and empathy as a must.
• The resilience to deal with challenging situations.
• A full UK driving licence which you've held for at least 12 months.
• If you don't have a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), we'll pay for you to study and support you every step of the way.

Responsibilities

• Take care of the home and our young people through the night, including when someone wakes with trauma, illness or difficulty sleeping.
• Build rapport and become someone our young people can trust in their time of need.
• In quieter times, complete tasks around the home such as paperwork, cleaning and laundry.
