Job summary

Prime Life is seeking a compassionate Night Support Worker to join Gilby House Nursing Home in Winterton. You will work between 8pm and 8am on a 7-day rota, providing companionship, support with daily living, and helping residents achieve the best possible quality of life.

Full or part-time roles are available, with a fully supported training programme, DBS funded, and a rewarding refer-a-friend scheme. Candidates with care experience are welcome, though training is provided.

Qualifications

Patient, understanding and respectful of residents’ individual abilities.
Prior experience as a Support worker or Care Assistant is desirable, but not essential as full training is provided.

Responsibilities

Encouraging residents to achieve the highest possible quality of life that is right for them
Providing companionship whilst giving emotional and practical support
Assisting residents to participate in any decisions relating to their daily living arrangements
Assisting residents with their personal care and in undertaking recreational activities
Assisting residents to retire for the evening and enjoy a comfortable night’s sleep
Promoting resident independence in the preparation of food and/or at mealtimes
Working with other professionals to provide individualised care and development plans
