Job summary

DPD is seeking an experienced Shift Manager to lead a night-time warehouse team in the Lincoln depot. You will manage operatives, ensure efficient unloading of lorries, and drive accurate sortation to meet KPIs while maintaining high service levels.

The role requires strong people leadership and proactive problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. You will monitor and improve safety, productivity and cost-to-deliver, while coordinating resourcing and reporting data to support depot objectives

Qualifications

• Experience managing a fast-paced warehouse operation.
• Proven people management experience with direct accountability for motivation and delivery.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire and lead a team.
• Decisive and effective decision-making, problem resolution and time management skills.
• Demonstrate resilience, self-motivation and flexibility.
• Excellent reporting and data analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Unloading lorries and organising the night shift team to maintain throughput.
• Oversee accurate sortation to meet KPIs and targets.
• Achieve CAD (Confirmed At Depot) % targets.
• Hit depot throughput targets and target shift time.
• Meet saturation and parcels-per-hour targets.
• Promote Health & Safety, productivity and cost-effective service; handle staffing at short notice.
