Job summary

Phoenix Care Staff Ltd in Preston is seeking a compassionate Newborn Care Assistant to work night shifts, supporting families as they adjust to caring for their newborns. The role involves monitoring family interactions and keeping families safe.

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently during night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor family interactions and newborn care practices.
• Maintain safety and safeguarding, follow privacy policies.
• Intervene and escalate unsafe care as required.
• Keep detailed, objective notes of observations and incidents.
• Provide guidance on newborn care and safe sleep practices.
• Identify and report concerns to senior staff.
• Follow policies and provide clear handovers to colleagues.
