Phoenix Care Staff Ltd is hiring a Newborn Care Assistant for night shifts. The role involves monitoring families with newborns, ensuring safety, maintaining accurate notes, and intervening as needed to uphold high standards of newborn care.

Experience in UK care settings is essential; DBS check (Enhanced) registered on the Update Service is preferred. Shift pattern is nights, with hourly pay between £12.71 and £13.50 depending on experience.

• At least 6 months’ experience working in a UK care setting.

Mansioni

• Monitor family interactions and assess parents’ and relatives’ care of the newborn.
• Maintain safety by following safeguarding and privacy requirements.
• Intervene promptly to address unsafe or inappropriate newborn care practices and escalate as needed.
• Keep accurate, detailed notes of observations and handovers.
• Support families with newborn care guidance including safe handling, feeding, settling, and safe sleep.
