Job summary

Major Recruitment is seeking an experienced HGV Technician for night operations in Doncaster. You will service, maintain and repair a high-volume HGV fleet, carry out PPMs and inspections, and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults to ensure DVSA and O-Licence compliance.

You will also complete job cards and help keep vehicles on the road. Applicants should have NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in HGV Maintenance (or equivalent), plus proven heavy-vehicle experience and strong diagnostic skills.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in HGV Maintenance (or equivalent experience).
• Experience working on HGVs or heavy fleet vehicles.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently on night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Carry out service, maintenance and repair on HGV fleet vehicles.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and inspections.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
• Ensure vehicles meet DVSA and O-Licence compliance standards.
• Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately.
• Support fleet uptime by ensuring vehicles are returned to service quickly.
