Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to install our camera-based retail OS across customer sites in the UK. This role involves overnight work, traveling to sites, and ensuring successful deployment and adoption of our system.

You will handle installations, use power tools, meet KPIs for speed and quality, and maintain records. A valid UK driving license and willingness to work nights and weekends are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven Field Service Technician experience in related sectors.
• Strong technical aptitude with hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with power tools and installation equipment.
• Physical stamina to work on feet for extended periods (up to 9 hours).
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure quality and specs.
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication with supervisors, team and customers.
• Valid UK driving license and reliable transportation.
• Able to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Install camera hardware and configure according to standards.
• Respond to installation requests and meet customer SLAs.
• Maintain records of installation activities and parts used.
• Onboard/scanner products into the system.
• Operate power tools safely to complete installations.
• Follow safety protocols during site visits.
• Collaborate with team to ensure timely installations.
• Ensure tasks meet quality standards and KPIs.
• Communicate progress and issues to supervisors.
• Adhere to company policies at all times.
