Job summary

Health Now Complex Care is seeking experienced Complex Care Support Workers to join a 2:1 care package in Grimsby to support an individual at home.

This is a 12-hour night shift role focused on respiratory care, including tracheostomy care and nebulisers. DBS and relevant training are beneficial. You will work with a second Support Worker to ensure safe, person-centred care throughout the night.

Responsibilities

• Record care and medication details.
• Work with another Support Worker in a 2:1 team.
• Escalate changes per care plan.

Health Now Complex Care is looking for experienced Complex Care Support Workers to join a 2:1 care package supporting an individual in their own home in Grimsby.

This is a 12-hour night shift role and is ideal for someone with experience supporting individuals with complex respiratory needs. Previous tracheostomy experience is essential, including confidence with tracheostomy care and nebuliser administration via tracheostomy.

You will provide safe, person-centred care throughout the night, following the individual's care plan and clinical guidance. You will support with respiratory care, monitor for any changes in breathing or condition, assist with secretion management and escal

Experience with suctioning is desirable, but candidates must only carry out suctioning if they have been appropriately trained and assessed as competent.

The role will include:

• Supporting with tracheostomy care
• Administering prescribed nebulisers via tracheostomy
• Supporting with respiratory secretions
• Monitoring breathing and oxygen saturations where required
• Supporting with suctioning where trained and competent
• Following the individual's care and emergency plans
• Completing care and medication records
• Working alongside another Support Worker as part of a 2:1 team

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous tracheostomy experience
• Has experience with nebulisers
• Has previous complex care experience
• Is confident working 12-hour night shifts
• Is reliable and responsible
• Can work well as part of a 2:1 team
• Can recognise and report changes in an individual's condition

A DBS, relevant training and previous home-care experience would be beneficial.
