Job summary

NLG in Hull is seeking a Complex Care Respiratory Support Worker to deliver essential care for a gentleman with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. The role includes tracheostomy and ventilator support, with full training provided, and a focus on compassionate, person-centred care.

The position offers night work from 8pm to 8am, with both part-time and full-time options. Applicants should have NVQ Health and Social Care Level 2/3 and driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with tracheostomy and ventilator dependent clients is beneficial.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care is advantageous.
• Driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high quality personal and clinical care per the care plan.
• Assist with tracheostomy and ventilator management with training provided.
• Build trusting relationships and provide emotional support.
• Collaborate with families and healthcare professionals to develop care plans.
• Monitor and document client progress and report concerns to senior staff.

Job Title: Complex Care Respiratory Support Worker

Work Pattern: Nights 8pm to 8am

Employment Type: Part time and full time available.

About this role

You will provide vital care and support to a gentleman with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. The client is also tracheostomy dependent and requires ventilator support and uses a RIG feeding tube.

Contract for Services. We are not currently accepting applications from individuals looking for sponsorship.

Salary £13ph weekdays, £14ph weekends plus 12.07% holiday pay. We pay our team weekly!

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering safe, high quality personal and clinical care in line with the person 's care plan.
• Supporting tracheostomy and ventilator management with full training provided.
• Build trusting relationships with clients, offering emotional support and encouragement.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and other stakeholders to develop and implement personalised care plans .
• Monitor and document client progress, reporting any concerns to senior staff or healthcare professionals.
• Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all clients.

About You

• A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle is essential
• Previous experience with supporting those tracheostomy and ventilator dependent is beneficial
• PEG/RIG Care Experience
• Relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3) are an advantage.
