Job summary

Health Now Complex Care in Grimsby is seeking an experienced Complex Care Support Worker to join a 2:1 care package delivered in the client’s own home. This role is a 12-hour night shift, demanding careful respiratory support and strict adherence to care plans.

The ideal candidate has tracheostomy care experience, knowledge of nebulisers, and a background in complex care. A DBS, relevant training and home-care experience would be beneficial.

Health Now Complex Care is looking for experienced Complex Care Support Workers to join a 2:1 care package supporting an individual in their own home in Grimsby.

This is a 12-hour night shift role and is ideal for someone with experience supporting individuals with complex respiratory needs. Previous tracheostomy experience is essential, including confidence with tracheostomy care and nebuliser administration via tracheostomy.

You will provide safe, person-centred care throughout the night, following the individual's care plan and clinical guidance. You will support with respiratory care, monitor for any changes in breathing or condition, assist with secretion management and elevate concerns appropriately.

Experience with suctioning is desirable, but candidates must only carry out suctioning if they have been appropriately trained and assessed as competent.

The role will include:

• Supporting with tracheostomy care
• Administering prescribed nebulisers via tracheostomy
• Supporting with respiratory secretions
• Monitoring breathing and oxygen saturations where required
• Supporting with suctioning where trained and competent
• Following the individual's care and emergency plans
• Completing care and medication records
• Working alongside another Support Worker as part of a 2:1 team
