Job summary

Hales Homecare is seeking a Complex Care Assistant (Days or Nights) based in Scunthorpe to support individuals with complex health needs. The role includes 12-hour day or night shifts with responsibilities spanning medical care, personal care, medication administration, and emotional support.

The ideal candidate has experience with complex medical needs and a passion for delivering high-quality, personalised care in the community.

• Experience with learning disabilities, mental health, or autism is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex medical needs including tracheostomies, ventilators, and PEG feeding.
• Provide personal care with dignity during daily living activities.
• Administer medications following prescribed protocols and keep records.
• Monitor service users and report changes to the clinical team.
• Offer emotional support and build relationships with service users and families.
• Encourage independence and participation in activities.

Complex Care Assistant (Days or Nights)

Based in Scunthorpe

12 hour night shifts available on either day or night shift (0700 - 1900 or 1900 - 0700)

Hourly Rate: From £13.71 per hour

Care experience within Learning Disability, Mental Health, Autism would be highly advantageous.

We specialise in providing exceptional homecare services to individuals in the community with complex health needs. We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Complex Care Assistants to help us continue delivering high-quality, nurse-led care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing Complex Medical Needs: Providing specialised care for individuals with complex needs such as tracheostomies, ventilators, PEG Feeding, and other complex medical needs.
• Providing Personal Care: Assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, always maintaining dignity and respect.
• Administering Medication: Safely and accurately administering medication, following prescribed protocols and maintaining detailed records.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Observing and documenting changes in service users’ conditions and, communicating any concerns to the clinical team.
• Emotional Support: Building strong relationships with service users and their families, providing emotional support.
• Promoting Independence: Encouraging service users to participate in activities and decision-making.

You’ll be a reliable and honest team player with strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to ensure accurate record-keeping.
