Priory Group in Juniper View, Belfast, is seeking a Senior Support Worker to join our night shift team. This permanent, full-time role requires a full UK driving license and involves working nights.
You will supervise staff, deliver person-centred care, administer medication, keep accurate records and contribute to care plans. You will lead handovers, support residents with activities, and ensure compliance with care standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Support Worker or Senior Support Worker.
- Full UK driving license for a minimum of 3 years.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Commitment to promoting choice, dignity and independence.
- Knowledge of care standards and safeguarding practices.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the delivery of person-centred care.
- Provide leadership during shifts, handovers and role allocation.
- Ensure care plans exist and residents participate in activities.
- Deliver team supervisions and contribute to professional development.
- Administer medication safely and maintain records.
- Manage service users’ finances and contribute to budgeting.
- Complete and oversee accurate record-keeping and compliance with legislation.
- Monitor team performance and address operational issues.
- Maintain up-to-date training and knowledge for safe practice.
