Job summary

Roseberry Care is seeking a compassionate Senior Care Assistant for Ashlea Court in Waltham, Grimsby. You will provide hands-on support to residents and take on supervisory responsibilities within the Night Care team.

The role offers 33 hours per week on night shifts, with weekend work on a rota, a competitive hourly rate of £13.25, and opportunities for growth across Roseberry’s 27 homes.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Carer in a care home setting.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or working towards it.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Genuine passion for elderly care and team development.
• Ability to mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care to residents and supervisory support to junior staff.

Your Role

As a Senior Care Assistant you will provide both hands-on support to residents and leadership to junior care staff within our local care home. Providing direct caregiving with supervisory responsibilities, you will ensure that our high standards of person-centred care are consistently delivered.

You’ll Be Responsible For

• Assisting residents with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, etc.).
• Promote dignity, independence, and individual rights of residents.
• Supervise and support junior care staff and new team members.
• Monitoring residents’ conditions and report any changes to senior management or nursing staff.
• Communicate effectively with residents, ensuring they feel listened to and respected.
• Ensure the care environment is clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety regulations.

What We’re Looking For
