Job summary

Roseberry Care in Sheffield is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to join our Norbury Court team. You will provide hands-on support to residents and lead junior care staff, ensuring our high standards of person-centred care are consistently delivered.

The role is 44 hours per week, daytime shifts with alternate weekends. Requirements include NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it), experience as a Senior Carer, and excellent leadership and communication skills.

Your Role

As a Senior Care Assistant you will provide both hands-on support to residents and leadership to junior care staff within our local care home. Providing direct caregiving with supervisory responsibilities, you will ensure that our high standards of person-centred care are consistently delivered.

You’ll Be Responsible For

• Assisting residents with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, etc.).
• Promote dignity, independence, and individual rights of residents.
• Supervise and support junior care staff and new team members.
• Monitoring residents’ conditions and report any changes to senior management or nursing staff.
• Communicate effectively with residents, ensuring they feel listened to and respected.
• Ensure the care environment is clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
