Job summary

Cinnamon Care Collection at Thurnby Fields in Leicester is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for night shifts, to join a luxury home caring for residential and dementia residents. You will work with a close-knit team, promoting choice, individuality and independence while ensuring high standards of care.

Applicants should hold NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), have knowledge of CQC standards, at least two years’ experience with older people and dementia, and have supervisory and medication

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in care or related qualification.
• Sound knowledge of care legislation including CQC Fundamental Standards.
• 2 years’ experience working with older people and people with dementia.
• Supervisory experience and medication administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care to residential and dementia residents.
• Supervise and mentor care assistants on night shifts.
• Administer medications as qualified and maintain safe record-keeping.
• Support induction and ongoing training within the care team.

Thurnby Fieldsis a luxurious residential and dementia care home based in Leicester, offering state-of-the-art facilities, which include 73 large en-suite bedroomsand 10luxury care suites. The home also features luxurious lounges and dining rooms, an on-site café bar, a cinema and a professional hair and beauty salon.

We are looking for enthusiastic, passionate and reliable Senior Care Assistants to be part of the care team looking after our residential and dementia residents. Our team members must have a real passion for care and want to work as part of a close-knit team supporting each other, and wanting to promote choice, individuality and independence to our residents at all times.

We are looking to recruit experienced Senior Carers who hold a NVQ level 3 (or equivalent qualification) and have a sound knowledge of care legislation including CQC Fundamental Standards. You will have supervisory experience, Medication administration experience (& relevant qualification) as well as being a supportive mentor to the care assistants. You will need 2 years’ previous experience gained from working with older people and people who experience dementia – previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant is desirable.
