Roseberry Care is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant for Primrose Lodge Nursing Home, North Shields. You will support residents with personal care, meals and activities, helping to promote independence and wellbeing.

Ideal candidates have NVQ2 in Adult Health and Social Care, or equivalent, and possess patient, empathetic communication. Day and night shifts available; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• NVQ2 in Adult Health and Social Care preferred or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of care experience preferred
• Experience with advanced dementia preferred
• Excellent communication, listening and empathy skills

Responsabilités

• Assist residents with washing, dressing, grooming, toileting and continence care

Salary: £12.80 Per Hour

Hours: 33-44/week – Day and Night shifts available with alternate weekends

Your Role

As a Care Assistant you will support our residents in their day to day lives including providing personal care, social activities, and meals times to promote independence and maximise their quality of life.

You’ll Be Responsible For

• Assist with washing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and continence care
• Help with mobility and transfers
• Offer companionship and a friendly presence
• Support mental and emotional well-being
• Observe and report changes in a client’s physical or emotional condition

What We’re Looking For

• Ideally have an NVQ2 in Adult Health and Social Care
• A minimum of 1 years’ experience in Care although this is not essential
• Experience with Advance Dementia preferred
• Excellent communication, listening and empathy skills
• A genuine passion for elderly care and team development
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
