Job summary

Roseberry Care Centres in Whitley Bay is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to join our caring team at Rosemount, Sunningdale West Monkseaton. Expect personal care, social activities and meals to promote independence and quality of life.

The role requires 44 hours per week, days and nights with alternate weekends. Salary is £12.80 per hour, with opportunities for development across 25 homes.

Qualifications

• NVQ2 in Adult Health & Social Care required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in care (not essential).
• Excellent communication, listening and empathy skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with washing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and continence care.
• Help with mobility and transfers.
• Offer companionship and a friendly presence.
• Support mental and emotional well-being.
• Observe and report changes in a client’s condition.

Your Role

As a Care Assistant you will assist theNew Management Teamsupporting our residents in their day to day lives including providing personal care, social activities, and meals times to promote independence and maximise their quality of life.

You’ll be responsible for

• Assist with washing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and continence care
• Help with mobility and transfers
• Offer companionship and a friendly presence
• Support mental and emotional well-being
• Observe and report changes in a client’s physical or emotional condition

What We’re Looking For

• Ideally have an NVQ2 in Adult Health and Social Care
• A minimum of 1 years’ experience in Care although this is not essential
• Excellent communication, listening and empathy skills
• A genuine passion for elderly care and team development
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
