Job summary

Agincare is hiring a Night Senior Care Assistant at Edgehill care home in Swindon. This part-time role runs 30 hours per week from 8pm to 8am, with alternating weekends. You will provide personal care, administer medications, and support residents with dignity and independence.

You’ll work with a welcoming team, benefit from funded training up to QCF level 5, and enjoy a pension and bonus referral scheme. On-demand pay is available to support you.

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or working towards is required.
• 12 months right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care including bathing, dressing and oral care.
• Contribute to care reviews to update residents' plans.
• Administer residents' medications safely and accordance with policy.
• Lead in trips, social activities and home-based engagements.
• Support new starters and mentor other staff as needed.

What is required from you?

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK
• NVQ Level 2 - Health and Social care qualification
• NVQ Level 3 - Health and Social Care qualification or be working towards
• Night Senior Care Assistant to work 30 hours per week from 8pm to 8am to include working alternative weekends

A day in the life of a Night Senior Care Assistant

• Person-centred care - You will ensure that residents receive personal care from you and your team including bathing, dressing and oral care within their preferences, and actively promote right to choice and independence
• Review - You will contribute to and carry out care reviews with your residents to ensure their plans reflect their needs.
• Medication - You will administer residents' medication in a safe and supportive and compliant way
• Social Activity - You will lead in and participate in trips out, social engagements and activities within the home.
• Leadership - you may support new starters or existing staff with shadowing and development, and may be called up on to lead the home where more senior managers are not available.
