Job summary

Agincare Group in Swindon is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for Edgehill Care Home. You will deliver person-centred care from 8am to 8pm, including weekends, supporting residents with daily activities and care plans.

The role requires NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care (or progression), plus at least 12 months right to work in the UK. Apply to join our expanding family.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months right to work in the UK.
• NVQ Level 2 - Health and Social care qualification.
• NVQ Level 3 - Health and Social Care qualification or be working towards.
• Working hours are 8am to 8pm, including alternate weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care, including bathing, dressing and oral care, within residents’ preferences.
• Contribute to and carry out care reviews to reflect residents' needs.
• Administer residents' medications in a safe, supportive and compliant way.
• Lead or participate in social activities and trips within the home.
• Support new starters and potentially lead the home when senior managers are not available.

What is required from you?

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK
• NVQ Level 2 - Health and Social care qualification
• NVQ Level 3 - Health and Social Care qualification or be working towards
• Working hours are from 8am to 8pm to include working alternative weekends

A day in the life of a Senior Care Assistant

• Person-centred care - You will ensure that residents receive personal care from you and your team including bathing, dressing and oral care within their preferences, and actively promote right to choice and independence
• Review -You will contribute to and carry out care reviews with your residents to ensure their plans reflect their needs.
• Medication - You will administer residents' medication in a safe and supportive and compliant way
• Social Activity - You will lead in and participate in trips out, social engagements and activities within the home .
• Leadership - you may support new starters or existing staff with shadowing and development, and may be called up on to lead the home where more senior managers are not available .
