Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to perform on-road repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll start and finish each day from home, with a RAC van, fuel card and diagnostic kit provided.

The role combines hands-on mechanical skill with excellent member service, handling a range of calls from flat batteries to complex faults. Overtime is available and bonuses reward performance.

Qualifications

• A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
• A customer-focused approach.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Handle fault diagnostics, tyre changes, battery issues and other roadside calls.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members.
