Job summary

Travelodge Cardiff Central Queen Street is seeking a Night Reception Team Member on a full-time contract. You will welcome guests, check them in, and help maintain a welcoming atmosphere for overnight guests.

The role involves handling quiet incidents and ensuring the hotel is prepared for the next day. No experience is required as full training is provided, with opportunities to develop into management through our Aspire Programme and enjoy staff discounts and a friendly, family-style team

• No prior experience required; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and check them in at night reception.
• Walk the corridors to monitor noise and handle incidents as needed.
• Set up hotel for the next day: prepare housekeeping trolleys, breakfast prep, and occasionally service behind the bar.

We have regular rewards and recognition activities such as ‘FAB Fridays’ and ‘Housekeeping Heroes’. Your job will be welcoming the guests and checking them into the hotel, but you’ll also be walking the corridors at regular intervals and you may have to deal with things like noise complaints and evictions. Your other main responsibility is setting up the hotel for the next day, so you’ll be doing things like preparing the housekeeping trolleys, or prepping for breakfast service and even serving behind the bar at times”
