Job summary

Coldra Court Hotel, part of The Celtic Collection, is seeking a Night Porter to welcome guests overnight and respond to requests with a friendly, professional approach.

You will help with luggage, room service, and perform safety checks, ensuring public spaces remain clean and secure while the night team delivers a seamless experience.

Training will be provided, and benefits include career development opportunities and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality or night porter experience preferred but training is provided.
• Able to work independently during night shifts.
• Strong communication and guest-service oriented attitude.
• Good knowledge of the local area is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Overnight duty: deliver a warm, professional reception and assist guests.
• Conduct regular floor walks, fire safety checks, and maintain public areas.
• Assist with room service, luggage handling, and guest enquiries.
• Support the Night Manager with operational duties and ensuring security overnight.
• Complete the night porter checklist and tidy meeting spaces and storerooms.

Job description

Delivering a warm and professional welcome to all guests arriving or departing during the night.
Assisting with guest requests, including room service, luggage handling, and general enquiries.

Good knowledge of the local area and attractions is a plus.
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential - full training will be provided.
