Job Description

We are seeking a vigilant and discreet individual to provide an alert Front of House presence overnight, ensuring guest comfort and safety.

Responsibilities:

1. Be fully familiar with the overnight house count of guests, staff, and visitors for evacuation purposes.
2. Take detailed handovers from the late receptionist and Duty Manager, and communicate any guest requirements or issues to the morning staff.
3. Answer internal and external calls throughout the night via the switchboard or mobile phone.
4. Personally welcome late-arriving guests, assist with luggage, valet parking, and ensure their comfort.
5. Fulfill Room Service orders from the night menu, knowing the dishes and ingredients.
6. Conduct regular patrols of the building, ensuring security and noting maintenance needs.
7. Be familiar with fire alarm panels, reading displays, locating detectors, and resetting alarms.
8. Maintain guest areas, ensuring they are tidy and welcoming during the night.
9. Close lounges when guests retire, switch off lights, dampen fires, and lock doors.
10. Carry out cleaning duties as per schedule.
11. Monitor open fires, ensuring they are extinguished and fires are relaid for the morning.
12. Check empty bedrooms, ensuring lights are off and windows are closed.

Qualifications:

A background in security and/or night work is advantageous.

High personal grooming standards are essential.

Thoroughness, vigilance, attention to detail, and a positive attitude are required.
