We are seeking a Night Porter to join our Nights team at Palé Hall, a prestigious Five Red Star country house hotel located in Snowdonia National Park. The role involves working three shifts per week on a weekly rota basis, reporting to the Guest Relations Manager and Head of Concierge. This position is crucial for ensuring the safety and security of the building and our guests during night hours. Full training will be provided, with a preference for candidates with a security background. Reliability, vigilance, initiative, and the ability to react swiftly to issues are essential qualities.

As a Night Porter, your responsibilities will include:

1. Providing an alert and discreet Front of House presence overnight.
2. Familiarity with the overnight house count for evacuation purposes.
3. Taking detailed handovers from the late reception staff and reporting issues to the morning team.
4. Answering calls via the switchboard or mobile phone.
5. Welcoming late-arriving guests, assisting with luggage and parking, and ensuring guest comfort.
6. Fulfilling Room Service orders and maintaining knowledge of the menu and ingredients.
7. Conducting regular patrols to ensure the security of doors, windows, and entrances.
8. Being familiar with fire alarm controls and procedures.
9. Maintaining guest areas, ensuring they are tidy and welcoming.
10. Managing fires safely and ensuring guest bedrooms are secure.
11. Performing cleaning duties as assigned.

Candidates must have the right to work in the UK and be able to commute to the hotel between 10pm and 7am. A background in security or night work is advantageous, along with high personal grooming standards, thoroughness, vigilance, and a positive attitude.
