Situated at the Snowdonia National Park, this historic Victorian mansion features eighteen bedrooms and suites, along with four charming garden suites within the estate grounds. We are strengthening our Nights team with an additional Night Porter to work three shifts per week on a weekly rota basis. Reporting to the Guest Relations Manager and Head of Concierge, this role is crucial in ensuring the safety and security of the building and our guests during the night hours. Full training will be provided, and candidates with a security background will be preferred. Reliability, vigilance, initiative, and the ability to react swiftly and effectively to issues are essential qualities.

Candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK and be confident in commuting to the hotel during shift hours from 10pm to 7am.
Job DescriptionTo provide a vigilant and discreet Front of House presence overnight, maintaining calmness and professionalism.
To be fully aware of the overnight house count of guests, staff, and visitors for safety and evacuation purposes.
To take a detailed handover from the late receptionist and Duty Manager at the start of the shift and communicate any relevant information to the early receptionist the following morning, including guest requirements and any issues or feedback.
To answer internal and external calls throughout the night via the main switchboard or mobile phone.
To personally welcome late-arriving guests, assist with luggage and valet parking, and ensure their comfort.
To fulfill Room Service orders from the night menu, familiar with the dishes and ingredients.
To carry out regular patrols of the building, ensuring security of doors and windows, and noting any maintenance needs or procedural improvements.
To be familiar with fire alarm panels, reading displays, and procedures for alarm management.
To keep guest areas tidy and welcoming during the night, including clearing tables and maintaining fires.
To close lounges after guest departure, switching off lights, extinguishing fires, and locking doors.
To perform cleaning duties as outlined in the key tasks sheet.
To monitor and maintain open fires, ensuring they are fully extinguished and prepared for the next day.
To check bedrooms for safety, ensuring lights are off and windows are closed.
QualificationsA background in security or night work is advantageous.
A high standard of personal grooming is required.
Thoroughness, vigilance, attention to detail, and a positive attitude are essential.
